the unknown

chiseled
the color of ancestors unknown
and i want you to teach me them.
be my warrior and reveal my tribes
and with learning hands i'll search deeper
tracing bloodlines
i etched in your back with fragile nails.
young warrior
so demanding.
i see the love-thirst in your eyes
skin-thirst
your thirst for sensuality.
i know what you're thinking
when i braid your cashmere,
playfully lingering at your nape,
seemingly thoughtless brush of your ear.
i know what you're thinking young warrior
because i can hear your djembe
beating polyrhythmically with my singing pheromones.
and now we're dancing
pushing & tugging
staring & looking away
ignoring & coming in a little too close,
all just to say one word...
"Yes"

"beating polyrhythmically with my singing pheromones." *KQ church hand* YEHS! This one is so seductive. I keep wondering who you are talking about, if anyone specific. I imagine there can be something so erotic about braiding a fine man's hair. This poem is very playful, subtle. It's all about what floats just beneath the surface. Keep updating your stuff!

THAT WAS SEXY!!! I love your Life! And ditto to everything that Andy said. This was amazingly subtle and provocative. Its rhythm made me catch that quick spine-tingling ooo wee feel. And yea, there's something about a woman braiding your hair with fingers as delicate as yours that says "I cared enough about you to help you look even better" that tantalizes probably all of your clients. You're a lovely nubian queen and lightly seductive enchantment. Keep casting your spell of love on us. We'll never admit it, but we love that about a woman.
